Imitation leather
Durable, low-maintenance faux leather with a hard-wearing surface. The fabric is moisture-repellent and easy to clean. The fabric used is certified according to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 (TESTEX, Cert. No. ZH015 182853).
Nonwoven backing fabric
This KUDDE cover also features a spunbond fabric as the backing. The backing fabric is certified according to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 (TESTEX, Cert. No. ZH015 182853).
Foam core
The foam core provides targeted support for the body and ensures a pressure-relieving sleeping surface. Depending on the model, either standard foam or memory foam is used. The foam used is manufactured in a facility certified according to OEKO-TEX® STeP (OETI, Cert. No. 22000745).
Oxford fabric (SVALA cooling insert)
The surface of the cooling pad is made of high-quality, water-repellent Oxford fabric. Its special three-layer construction—consisting of a top layer, middle layer, and bottom layer—ensures optimal stability and makes the material ideal for everyday use.
Smart Cooling Gel (SVALA Cooling Pad)
Inside the pad, a special cooling gel ensures effective heat absorption and conduction. Thanks to its internal structure featuring a leak-proof composite design, it provides hours of cooling comfort (depending on the ambient temperature) without the need for external cooling. It is activated by the dog’s body weight.
Suitable for allergy sufferers
The material does not provide a suitable habitat for fleas and mites, making it ideal for people with allergies and sensitive dogs.
Anatomical
Our products are designed with your pet’s anatomy in mind—that is, the shape and structure of its body. This anatomically correct design plays a major role in keeping your pet healthy. The SVALA cooling pad also supports thermoregulation and is particularly beneficial for senior dogs or those with joint problems who struggle with the heat.
For old dogs
Ideal for older dogs, dogs with arthritis or hip dysplasia, and heavy breeds. No pressure pain in the pelvic or hip area when lying down. On hot days, the cooling insert also ensures that heat-sensitive senior dogs are well cared for.
Synthetic leather care
Wipe with water or a mild detergent. For best results, we recommend KUDDE Special Cleaner. Note: Do not wash in the washing machine.
Care Instructions for the SVALA Cooling Pad
Stains can be easily wiped away with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Note: The cooling insert is not suitable for the washing machine or dryer!
Foam care
The foam core must not be washed or dried. If it comes into contact with liquid, allow it to dry completely before using it again.
Instructions for Use: Cooling Pad
If the insert is exposed to extreme heat (e.g., direct sunlight), let it rest briefly in the shade so that the gel can regenerate and restore its full cooling capacity.
Note: Faux leather
Please do not expose the faux leather cover to direct sunlight for extended periods (e.g., in a sunroom or near a large window). Intense UV radiation can cause the material to dry out, fade, or damage the surface over time.
Safety Notice: Cooling Pad
The mat is built to be durable, but it is not bite- or scratch-resistant. Please do not let your dog use the mat unsupervised.
