The high-quality foam core with orthopedic effect optimally adapts to your dog's body and specifically relieves pressure on the spine and joints. This prevents pressure points, improves sleep quality, and promotes long-term health. The mattress core remains permanently dimensionally stable – even with daily use.
The velvet fabric combines comfort with design: hypoallergenic and wonderfully soft. At the same time, the cover is robust and easy to care for – perfect for everyday life with a dog. A separate, water-repellent protective cover under the outer fabric protects the mattress core from moisture and dirt – ensuring the KUDDE bed stays hygienically clean and durable.
Note: The KUDDE velvet is supplied without an insert.

Velvet
Soft velvet fabric made of 100% polyester with a pleasant feel and elegant appearance. The fabric used is certified according to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 (TESTEX, Cert. No. SH015 183646).
Spunbonded bottom fabric
For this KUDDE cover, a spunbonded fabric is also used as the bottom material. The bottom fabric used is certified according to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 (TESTEX, Cert. No. ZH015 182853).
Water-repellent protective cover
The water-repellent protective cover protects the core or filling from moisture and dirt. The fabric used is certified according to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 (TESTEX, Cert. No. ZH015 182853). Note: The protective cover is not an incontinence cover.
Foam core
The foam core supports the body at specific points and ensures pressure-relieving comfort. Depending on the model, original or memory foam is used. The foam used comes from production certified according to OEKO-TEX® STeP (OETI, Cert. No. 22000745).

Suitable for allergy sufferers
The material does not provide a suitable habitat for fleas and mites, making it ideal for allergy sufferers and sensitive dogs.
For old dogs
Ideal for older dogs, dogs with osteoarthritis, hip dysplasia or a heavy build. No pressure pain in the pelvic and hip area—even when lying down for long periods.
Velvet fabric care
The cover is washable at 40 °C and suitable for tumble drying at low temperatures.
Water-repellent protective cover
Wipe with water and mild detergent. Do not wash or dry. Note: Not suitable for incontinence protection.
Foam care
The foam core must not be washed or dried. If it comes into contact with liquid, allow it to dry completely before using it again.
Usage instructions
Fabric covers must always be put over a base cover (imitation leather, vegan suede, or rubberized protective cover) to protect the foam core from moisture and dirt. The water-repellent protective cover is automatically included with KUDDE fabric beds.

To find the right size for your dog, measure your dog from the tip of the nose to the base of the tail. This measurement must not exceed the size of the lying surface!

Frequently asked questions about the KUDDE dog bed
Our foam cores are made from cold foam of mattress quality and are Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified. The cores are manufactured in Germany and are odorless. Because we are confident in the core’s stability, we offer a 10-year warranty on both variants. The warranty does not apply if the foam core is damaged by external factors or improper use (e.g., scratching, biting, excessive weight for the selected size, or similar).
The Special foam is additionally enhanced with memory visco foam in the sleeping surface. This foam reacts to body heat and adapts precisely to your dog’s lying position. This enables completely pressure-relieving comfort. This foam is especially beneficial for older dogs and those with back problems, hip dysplasia, osteoarthritis, or similar conditions.
Tip: If you already have a Standard foam core at home and would like to offer your gray-muzzled dog even more comfort, we recommend combining it with our Mumin insert.
The underside of the cover is made of a woven fabric (similar to upholstery fabric). It must be made of breathable material so that air can escape from the foam core. Otherwise, the KUDDE would be rock-hard. The woven fabric also provides the necessary ventilation for the core.
Yes, you can fit your KUDDE with a new cover at any time. The faux leather, suede-look, or protective cover always serves as the base. So, if you order a fabric cover for your KUDDE, you simply put it over the existing cover. If you order a new faux leather cover, you must remove the old cover first. This means that all covers are compatible with one another.
No, a free insert is not included with every KUDDE dog bed. Before purchasing, please check your chosen product to see whether an insert is included or needs to be ordered separately.
You receive the KUDDE space-savingly packaged in individual parts. This saves transport volume and CO2 per shipment. It is modular, so you can still buy different covers or inserts in a few years.
No, unfortunately, we cannot offer custom-made products due to the consistently high workload in our production facility.
