The heart of every KUDDE dog bed is the ergonomically shaped foam core, in which the base and edge are firmly connected – this is the same for every KUDDE! The only differences are the covers and optional inserts.

Original KUDDE Standard: The original KUDDE – with a firm, stable cold-foam core and a cover made of high-quality synthetic leather. Especially popular for its durability and easy cleaning.
KUDDE Special (formerly KUDDE Comfort): A true comfort revolution! The KUDDE Special is the ideal choice for dogs with back or joint problems. Part of the mattress in the base plate has been replaced with viscoelastic memory foam. This adapts particularly gently to your dog's body through its warmth, provides effective pressure relief, and promotes circulation. This helps protect the muscles even during longer periods of lying down.
KUDDE Outdoor – New since 2025: The KUDDE Outdoor dog bed differs from the classic KUDDE model in both its mattress and its cover. It features a special, water-permeable and mold-resistant outdoor foam core that is perfectly suited for outdoor use. The cover is weatherproof, water- and dirt-repellent, and can be removed for easy cleaning.

Base covers vs. fabric covers – what you should know

Base covers (synthetic leather, suede, protective cover) are pulled directly over the foam core and protect against moisture and dirt. They are not suitable for layering; if you replace the base cover, you must remove the old one first.
Fabric covers (e.g., corduroy, bouclé, etc.) always go over a base cover and make your KUDDE especially cozy. They are easy to wash and provide variety.

Faux leather covers: Robust, easy to care for, and wipe-clean. Our classic faux leather covers come in great colors and make your KUDDE a real eye-catcher.

How to find the right size for your KUDDE dog bed and accessories

To determine the right KUDDE size, it is best to measure your dog's length from the tip of the nose to the base of the tail—that is, to where the tail begins. This measurement ensures that your dog can stretch out completely, including their head, and lie in an ergonomically correct position.

Make sure that the lying surface of the KUDDE dog bed is at least as long as the measurement you took. This is the only way for the specially tailored foam density to develop its pressure-relieving and supportive effect to the fullest.

A tip: Even if your dog likes to sleep curled up, they need enough space to stretch out completely from time to time. It is therefore better to measure generously to provide your dog with the best possible comfort.

For puppies, we recommend choosing the size for the fully grown dog from the start. It is best to use the parent dogs or the breed examples in our size chart as a guide—this will help you find the right KUDDE size from the beginning.

The foam itself must not be washed, as water can affect its stability and shape. Instead, we recommend regularly airing out the foam to reduce moisture and odors.
