Tips & Hints
Please NEVER tie your horse anywhere with the cavesson - be sure to use a halter in addition. Otherwise your horse can suffer considerable damage to the nose area in the event of a panic attack!
Pleasecleanyour cavesson only with our saddle soap - simply spray on and wipe off the product with a damp microfiber cloth. Afterwards rub dry. Please do not oil the leather before use! Our leather is soft and supple and has already been oiled during the tanning process.
If you want to care for the leather after cleaning, we recommend our leather balm, simply apply a thin layer, polish off any excess.
Please do not use oil! It literally drowns the leather. The pores close and the leather can no longer "breathe".
Please also refrain from using the following or similar products: Vaseline, Nivea cream, shoe cream, Ballistol oil etc. - none of these products will prolong the life of one of our leather products! Less care is often more!
