Our SABRO Cavecon features our patented ear cutouts, which provide a pinch-free fit on your horse's sensitive ear bumps, allowing for free ear play. The broadened contact surface serves for a better pressure distribution.
For the processing of our caveon we use glove-soft cowhide, which is sewn on both sides and is therefore particularly soft. Commercial bridles often consist of only one leather layer, recognizable by the rough leather underside. The noseband of our SABRO Caveson consists of individual chain links, which are first padded and then covered with the finest elk leather. This makes the noseband very soft on the sensitive nose of your horse without pressing or chafing.
In contrast to "normal" bridles, the nose area of the Cavecon is not tightly buckled, but should remain flexible during work. With the help of the cavecon you can explain the finest bends to your horse and also work on more complicated exercises such as shoulder in, croup in, travers, passage, etc.... These exercises can then be transferred from the ground to the saddle. All you have to do is strap reins into your cavecon. If desired, a bit can also be strapped into the cavecon with the help of bit straps.
The bit straps are an accessory item, which is not included in the scope of delivery.
Tips & Hints
Please NEVER tie your horse anywhere with the cavecon - be sure to use an additional halter for this. Otherwise your horse can suffer considerable damage to the nose area in the event of a panic attack!
Pleasecleanyour cavecon only with our saddle soap - simply spray on and wipe off the product with a damp microfiber cloth. Afterwards rub dry. Please do not oil the leather before use! Our leather is soft and supple and has already been oiled during the tanning process.
If you want to care for the leather after cleaning, we recommend our leather balm, simply apply a thin layer, polish off any excess.
Please do not use oil! It literally drowns the leather. The pores close and the leather can no longer "breathe".
Please also refrain from using the following or similar products: Vaseline, Nivea cream, shoe cream, Ballistol oil etc. - none of these products will prolong the life of one of our leather products! Less care is often more!
We would like to point out that we do not assume any warranty for incorrectly treated leather products.
